If it weren’t for the Piper Super Cub, we might not be in business! The Super Cub has been around for much longer than it was originally intended to be. It has been put through the tests of the harsh Alaskan bush for over 60 years. Because it has proven itself to be a plane that’s capable of handling the most extreme conditions, it has spawned new industries dedicated to making this near-perfect airplane even better while amassing an obsessively loyal following of pilots. Yakima Aerosport is no exception to this and has joined the masses as a premiere builder of this and other aircraft based on it.

The Piper Super Cub has withstood the test of time and then some. Its use has ranged from recreational and utility purposes to government and military operations. It was produced in the United States, but it has flown on every continent and served the needs of 10 international armies in addition to the US Army.

Yakima Aerosport is the Northwest’s premiere builder of aircraft based on the Super Cub fuselage and the Dakota Cub slotted wing. We might be tucked away in Yakima, Washington, but our customer base is worldwide because our workmanship, knowledge, and customer service are the flagship of our company. Yes, we specialize in Piper aircraft, but our enduring passion is aviation and we can work on just about anything that flies!

The Super Breezy is our forget-everything-and-leave-your-troubles-behind toy that has wowed every set of eyes to gaze upon it. Many of its components were borrowed from the PA-18 which makes this the only breezy aircraft like it in the world. Since it’s built with Super Cub parts, it’s capable of achieving Super Cub performance. We believe this to be the best performing breezy aircraft in the sky today with incredible STOL performance typically only found in a PA-18.

The Super 18 Turbo Cub is not your run-of-the-mill Piper Cub — it’s a modern marvel. We crammed so much innovation into this aircraft Cub that there wasn’t room left to spare. The end result was the most complex Super Cub in the world, capable of flying higher, faster, and with better performance than any PA-18 to date.

The Bushmaster is a 4-place Super Cub. It is the ultimate back-country airplane with numerous build options. The Bushmaster’s empty weight is around 1,500 lbs and it’s gross is 2,150 lbs under the STC and 2,400 lbs in the experimental category. All Bushmasters started out as a PA-20 Pacer or PA-22 Tri-Pacer, then undergo a lengthening of the fuselage, lengthened wings, and a more powerful engine before achieving Bushmaster status. We have the tooling (fixtures and jigs) to build you a brand new Bushmaster or perform certified fuselage repairs on Pacers and Tri-Pacers.
